'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the maiden important trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about returning home as he earlier was, and would definitely think about prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he won the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich is Kane's primary focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract talks could start in the near future
  • Kane's outstanding goal-scoring performance continues to astound
