Epstein bought a smaller island - the Little St James - originally in 1998, but acquired the bigger adjacent island in the year 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
The released images indicate he had created ambitious plans to build upon the 161-acre island by constructing residences, an amphitheatre, an underwater office and a reservoir.
You can see the drawing is Pillsbury Sound, a strait in the region, noted on the south-eastern section.
This development map is covered in red pen markings and includes a key identifying various sections of the estate.
Accompanying this are what appear to be several other site drawings and construction drawings, such as designs for boat shelters.
